The Bison Repertory Theater Company is an exciting company in the Washington, DC metropolitan area comprised of seasoned alumni of the Howard University Department of Theater Arts.
The company was founded in 2015 by classmates that honed their craft within the coveted walls of the Fine Arts Building and cut their teeth on the historical Ira Aldridge stage in late 1970's and early 1980's. Building on the distinct legacy of Howard’s Drama Department, the Bison Repertory Theatre Company’s mission is to present compelling theater from the African American perspective to illuminate the black experience by way of engaging dramatic works that provoke thought, birth catharsis, rouse, challenge, inspire, heal and spark discussion long after the curtain goes down.

Four plays written by Hope Lynne Price-Lindsay (THE INTRUDERS, FOR THE LOVE OF OSCAR, A LOVE SUPREME & BRAVE BESSIE) have been produced and presented by the Bison Repertory Theater.
